Once, there was a motivational speaker talking to students at a workshop.
He began his speech by showing students a $50 note and asked, “Who wants this $50?”
Everyone raised their hands excitedly.
Then, he pressed the note and asked again, “Who else wants it?”
All the hands went up once more.
But the speaker did something surprising.
He threw a $50 note on the ground and stepped on it with his shoes.
He picked it up and asked again if anyone wanted it.
All the hands went up again.
In the end, he explained that no matter what happened to the banknote, whether it was pressed or stomped, its value remained the same.
Moral of the story
No external factors or persons can destroy one’s values.
