Once upon a time, in a garden, there was a pretty rose that felt very proud of how it looked.
The pretty rose grew next to a not-so-pretty cactus.
Every day, the rose would say mean things about the cactus, talking about how it looked ugly, but the cactus didn’t say anything back.
The other plants, flowers, and trees around the rose tried to make her stop being mean to the innocent cactus.
However, the beautiful haughty rose paid no attention to listen to them.
Spring went by, and summer came, but there was no rain.
The once proud and beautiful rose started to lose its color and began to droop.
One day, the rose saw a bird put its beak into the cactus and drink water from it.
The rose felt a little embarrassed to ask for help from the cactus, but finally, she did.
“Can you please help me with some water? Otherwise, I will die soon,” she said to the cactus.
The kind cactus agreed, and the bird helped water the rose, bringing life back to the rose.
