Once upon a time, there was a father and daughter who lived under a financial crisis.
One day, the father lost his temper when he discovered her young daughter using an entire roll of expensive gold wrapping paper to decorate a box to put under the Christmas tree.
Despite the scolding, on Christmas day, the girl joyfully presented the gift to her father, saying, ‘This is for you, daddy.’
The man felt a deep sense of shame for his earlier outburst, but his anger flared up once again when he realized the box was empty.
In frustration, he shouted at her, ‘Don’t you know that when you give someone a gift, there’s supposed to be something inside?’
Tears welled up in the little girl’s eyes as she looked at her dad and said, ‘Oh, daddy, it’s not empty at all. I blew kisses into the box. They’re all for you, daddy.’
This revelation shocked the father, prompting him to apologize and hug his daughter.
Unfortunately, one day, the girl met with a tragic accident and passed away.
Despite the heartbreak, her father kept the gold box by his bedside for many years.
Whenever he felt down, he would take out an imaginary kiss and remember the love of the daughter who had put it there.
Moral of the story
Always prioritize loving each other over material things.
