Once upon a time, an old man was walking in the forest when suddenly he saw a small cat stuck in a hole.

The poor cat was trying really hard to get out of the hole.

The old man with a sensitive heart felt sad and reached out his hand to help the cat to get out.

But, oh no! The cat got scared and scratched the man’s hand, making him shout in pain.

Despite the scratches, the man didn’t give up.

He tried again and again to help the poor cat.

Another man was watching all of this, and he shouted in surprise, “Stop helping the cat! It will find its own way out!”.

But the old man didn’t listen. He kept on helping the cat until he finally succeeded.

Then, he went to the other man and explained,

“Hey, it’s just the cat’s instinct to scratch when it’s scared. My job is to show love and take care of it, even if it hurts a bit.”

Moral of the story

Don’t lose your good qualities no matter how others treat you.
